ISA announces the 2009 Billabong ISA World Surfing Games Judging Panel

20 May 2009, La Jolla, CA - The ISA is honored to announce the Judging Panel selected for the 2009 Billabong ISA World Surfing Games to be held in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, August 1 to 8.

The ISA Judges are nominated by each National Governing Body and selected by the ISA Technical Committee formed by Alan Atkins of Australia, Marcos Bukão of Brazil and Robin de Kock of South Africa.

About the International Surfing Association (ISA)
The International Surfing Association (ISA) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the World Governing Authority for surfing, bodyboarding and surfriding. It was originally founded as the International Surfing Federation in 1964 and has been running world championships since 1964 and the Junior World Championships since 1980.
ISA membership includes the surfing National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of over 50 countries on six continents. Its headquarters are located in San Diego, California. It is presided by Fernando Aguerre, first elected in 1994 in Rio, and re-elected six times since. The ISA's four Vice Presidents are Alan Atkins (Australia), Robin de Kock (South Africa), Mike Gerard (USA) and Karin Sierralta (Peru).

20 de mayo de 2009, La Jolla, CA - Es un honor para la ISA anunciar la selección de jueces que formarán el panel de juzgamiento durante el Billabong ISA World Surfing Games 2009 a ser realizados en Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica desde el 1º hasta el 8 de agosto.

Los jueces en la ISA son nominados por cada Federación Nacional y seleccionados por el Comité Técnico de la ISA que es formado por Alan Atkins de Australia, Marcos Bukão de Brasil y Robin de Kock de Sudáfrica.

Sobre la International Surfing Association (ISA)
